Analyst Q&A 2
ATV launch timing and government orders
Q (Scott Buck · Titan Partners): He asked when ATV devices would move from launch to full deployment and how state and local expansion could change device counts. He also asked about backlog and book-to-bill excluding DWMS.
A: They expect some devices implemented in Q4 this year and a ramp-up toward the end of first quarter or beginning of second quarter (about 3 to 6 months). Management said state and local could rival federal and could potentially double the number of devices, and may add Fortune 500 customers, but exact numbers are unknown until implementation. They said contract backlog is $219 million of federal task orders, mostly funded, with periods of performance of 12 months and some 18, and that work will convert to revenue over time.
"But we feel that the ramp-up time is going to be probably towards the end of first quarter, you know, beginning of second quarter." — Jin H. Kang (CEO)
new carriers, Olympics timing, MobileAnchor demand
Q (Casey Ryan · AmeraX): He asked if the other big wireless carriers are targets and if they cover federal, state, and local customers the same way. He also asked about Olympic timing, whether MobileAnchor inbound interest is proactive or unsolicited, and about commercial partners.
A: They have 1 of the 3 major carriers and the other 2 are definite targets; the size is comparable and all three serve federal, state, and local with similar cyber requirements, and conversations with those carriers are preliminary. For the Olympics, the crunch is likely at the beginning of next year but they hope to finish terms by the end of this year; the work is SaaS/DaaS and ramp should be quick using CDW licenses. On MobileAnchor, inbound interest is both from their outreach and unsolicited calls; they are working with political operators to reach decision makers and with partners CDW, Ingram Micro, and Tech Data to sell MobileAnchor via DaaS programs.
"You know, we, as we stated, we have 1 of the 3, you know, major carriers, and so the other 2 are definitely targets of opportunity." — Jin H. Kang (CEO)
