Analyst Q&A 1
optical interconnects and partner updates
Q (Ben · Craig-Hallum): He asked who the customers are and how big the optical interconnect opportunity is. He also asked for updates on the Quanta relationship and for details about Collins defense production and timing.
A: On optical interconnects, management said much of the interest has been inbound, they have done some outreach, but they cannot give specifics now and will update shortly. On Quanta, they said they have a great working relationship, built early generation smart glasses waveguides, are working on next-generation waveguides, and expect those to be shown at CES for the high-volume, mass-market price points. On Collins and defense, they expect more production orders in the second half, have follow-on design development work to share, said the product is built for a large segment of the U.S. Defense space for drones and situational awareness, and that 2027 should be a really good year for production with more than one device coming.
"What I can say is the interest is real it is significantly engaged us on our part." — Paul J. Travers (CEO)
