Analyst Q&A 2
men's sales and category expansion
Q (Eric Beder · SCC): He asked how men's is becoming a larger part of the business and how Vince will expand into other product categories in stores. He also asked how involved Drake will be with OVO, how Vince's manufacturing and store/wholesale network could create synergies, and how OVO's London store affects European expansion.
A: They said men's is doing very well and is about 25% of the business while women's is growing too. They described category expansion done with ABG into tailored clothing, handbags, shoes, baby and home, and said they will look for things that add to stores and leverage drop ship. They said Drake seems very committed, will guide overall direction and make personal appearances, and they are planning summits and supplier meetings to find sourcing, wholesale and store synergies including U.S. wholesale and possible Vince launches in Canada.
"Men's continues to do excellent for us, around 25% of the business and growing." — Brendan Hoffman (CEO)
OVO wholesale timing and platform plan
Q (Michael Kupinski · Noble): He asked how quickly OVO could get into major department stores and how large wholesale could become versus stores and the $100 million revenue outcome. He also asked if OVO validates Vince as an operating platform for other brands and what incremental EBITDA margin to expect as revenue grows past $300 million.
A: They said they expect a diversified wholesale base and are developing a wholesale collection now, so a realistic launch is around the back half of next year and possibly a capsule earlier. They expect OVO to be more retail-weighted but to become balanced across channels over time, and they view OVO as a potential blueprint to use Vince as a platform for other brands, likely with ABG after they absorb OVO. On EBITDA and the $300 million threshold, they referred to the guidance already given and said they cannot be more granular now because of tariff refunds, future tariffs, freight and ongoing investments in marketing and the business.
"So I would think it would be around this time next year that we would really do a launch." — Brendan Hoffman (CEO)
