Analyst Q&A 2
How much Blickfield added to revenue
Q (Fred Erman · Private Investor): He asked how much of the revenue increase came from the Blickfield acquisition.
A: Management said the companies are now run as a single company and sales were driven by both the existing Blickfield team and the Sensor sales team. They said LiDAR contributed strongly to growth but they cannot disclose how much each part generated.
"So indeed, LiDAR has been a high contribution in the growth, absolutely, but generated by both simultaneously." — Fabien Haubert (CEO)
R&D rise, US sales, LiDAR, new products
Q (Ken Liddy · Oppenheimer and Company): He asked whether the Q2 R&D rise was due to Blickfield and what R&D level to expect. He also asked about US sales recovery, LiDAR opportunities, and new products coming in September.
A: They said Blickfield integration added about 300 thousand to R&D and that Q2 R&D was about $1.3 million or so; they may seek grants (IRAP or German) to reduce future costs. They expect U.S. sales to resume in the second half and have hired a new VP of sales focused on utilities and data centers. They said LiDAR sales grew around 100% for the period, Sensor contributed highly, Blickfield verticals (volume monitoring and traffic) are increasing, and they will launch a fiber detection system with AI and the Senstar Flow software at GSX in Atlanta in September.
"And Blickfield makes up about 300 thousand of the of the total R&D expense." — Alicia Kelly (CFO)
