Analyst Q&A 2
Timing and product use of two new customers
Q (Scott Searle · ROTH Capital): The analyst asked when the two new customers will launch and whether their devices are for kids or seniors. He also asked when revenue or pricing impact from the expanded Tier 1 relationship will begin.
A: Both new customers are expected to launch in the coming month or so. One is a SafePath OS device but the company is refraining from saying if it's for seniors or kids; the other is the SafePath Connect platform in Europe and is also scheduled to launch in the next month or so. Revenue from the expanded Tier 1 relationship is expected to start in the third quarter.
"One of them is a SafePath OS device, and we're refraining from disclosing if it's senior or kids related." — Timothy Huffmyer (CEO)
Competition and senior market interest
Q (Matthew Harrigan · StoneX): He asked whether the new SDK and APIs face new competition or if most MNOs are adopting their kit. He also asked whether the senior market is as large as the youth market and where the planned operating expense increase is being spent.
A: Management said there is competition, but the company has been the premier provider for years and the SDKs/APIs give lightweight access to their services. They said the senior side is very active, with a strong pipeline and currently stronger than the kids OS side. The modest increase in operating expenses is mostly focused on engineering headcount and related areas such as AI.
"From a competition standpoint, there's definitely competition out there, but for years, we have been the premier provider of these services." — Timothy Huffmyer (CEO)
