Analyst Q&A 1
Consumer weakness, enterprise AI adoption, debt and costs
Q (Hoi-Fung Wong · Oppenheimer): The analyst asked whether the weak consumer business can stabilize and how it might recover. He also asked about enterprise stability, early AI product adoption and monetization timing, sales-cycle effects, sequencing for customers to adopt the skills platform, progress on the debt plan, and further cost cuts.
A: Management said the consumer decline has accelerated because AI replaced code-development work, but they are managing that unit for profitability and expect it to remain profitable and contribute to the company's adjusted EBITDA and cash. They said the enterprise business is stabilizing (down less than 1%), federal booking headwinds should fade by Q3, and they are seeing early acceptance of AI platform products with a $5 million AI-native platform target and a good pipeline. They added the debt plan is ready and they expect to engage very soon after Global Knowledge, and they see more efficiency from AI, SKU rationalization (95% SKU reduction), and other simplifications, though many efforts are still early.
"We do expect that business to continue to be unlike the Global Knowledge business, you know, a profitable business to continue to contribute to the bottom line." — Ronald Kisling (CFO)
