Analyst Q&A 1
Loan growth and rate impact
Q (Brian Martin · Brean Capital): The analyst asked where the loan pipeline sits now and into 2027 and whether the rate environment will affect that growth.
A: They expect around 8%, 8.5% loan growth in 2027 and said Columbus drove roughly 70% of recent growth. Management said they have a solid commercial and construction pipeline that could be about $20 million to $30 million, $40 million net after credits. They also said they have about $65 million of excess liquidity, could raise deposit rates 25 to 30 basis points if needed, and that a 25 basis point rate move is about a $600,000 to $700,000 annualized benefit to margin; mortgage and expense outlooks were also discussed.
"As we've done in prior years, we've averaged around 8%, 8.5%, I think, high single digit." — Mark Klein (CEO·CHAIR)
