Analyst Q&A 1
Talks with Delta about extending aircraft contracts
Q (Carter Eades · Raymond James): The analyst asked when the company will start talks with Delta to extend the 57 aircraft on contract given average expirations in 2028. He also asked how more block hours will add to earnings and operating leverage.
A: Management said expirations are staggered across the fleet and they are already in ongoing conversations and negotiations on extensions and will provide meaningful updates when negotiations conclude. They said the additional 5 aircraft plus utilization gains should drive block hour production in the low single-digit numbers, 3% to 5% range. They added margin contribution is not linear, they are finalizing the plan with the Board in early December, and will update the market when ready.
"So we're in a constant conversation and negotiation on extensions." — Matthew Koscal (CEO)
