Analyst Q&A 1
coach productivity and GLP-1 competition
Q (James Salera · Stephens): The analyst asked how field teams are reacting to operational changes, rebranding, and reformulation given higher coach productivity but fewer active coaches. He also asked how coaches view competition from GLP-1s and AI-enabled weight-loss offerings and whether customers blend those with the company's program.
A: Management said launch activity drove high engagement and energy, and they simplified coach compensation to favor high-producing "executive directors," expecting productivity to improve even as active coach counts fall; they also rolled out the Trilogy business blueprint and a coach hub. They said GLP-1s are ubiquitous, coaches discuss them with clients, and the conversation has shifted from just weight lost to preserving and building lean muscle and metabolic health; they also do not centrally track every GLP-1 user and only have anonymous survey data. On SG&A they said the Catalyst program targets speed and simplicity, they continually remove costs that don't impact growth, are applying AI and process improvements, and expect more operating leverage as growth returns.
"We would expect productivity to improve while the quantity of active learning coaches goes down, we are expecting the quality of those coaches to actually improve, and that was a design change in the plan itself." — Nicholas Johnson
