Analyst Q&A 2
LP-300 data and new patient enrollment
Q (Michael): The analyst asked how mature the LP-300 dataset is, when there will be another update, and whether any patients have been enrolled under the amended protocol.
A: Management said IRBs at all sites have been approved and enrollment will resume under the amended 8-cycle protocol. They expect to enroll patients in Taiwan and the U.S., adding about 15 to 16 patients over the next 4 to 6 months. They may provide another update toward the end of the year, but future cohort updates depend on the next batch of patients.
"So we expect to be enrolling patients in Taiwan and the US under the new amended protocol." — Panna Sharma (CEO)
Open Medicine spinout benefits for shareholders
Q: The analyst asked what the biggest benefit of spinning out Open Medicine would be for Lantern shareholders.
A: Management said Lantern currently owns 100% of Open Medicine and expects to remain the largest shareholder for a while. They plan to raise capital for Open Medicine, may explore distributing underlying shares to Lantern shareholders, and expect shareholders to benefit as the asset is monetized in private financings or if it goes public.
"And we may explore ways to distribute those--the underlying shares to all shareholders in Lantern." — Panna Sharma (CEO)
