Analyst Q&A 1
Retina, glaucoma and system sales outlook
Q (Scott Henry): The analyst asked if retina sales will grow year-over-year and specifically if H2 2026 will be higher than H2 2025 and whether Q4 will be stronger than Q3. He also asked if the large Q2 glaucoma probe shipments were inventory builds that will normalize or a new normal, and whether the "18" system sales number will rise in the second half.
A: They expect retina to show low single digit growth in the second half and said Q4 is their largest quarter by quite a bit. For glaucoma they do not view the Q2 probe level as a new normal and expect low double digit growth in the second half; even after backing out heavy Japan and Europe preorders for blackout periods they still had over 15% growth. System sales should be much higher toward the back end of the year, with Q4 driving increases; EMEA slowness and waiting on UK registry reimbursement approval hurt this quarter but will help once approved.
"We expect the second half of the year for retina to show low single digit growth." — Patrick Mercer (CEO)
