Analyst Q&A 2
Target expansion, consolidation, Tetra Pak timeline
Q (Nicholas Sherwood · Maxim Group): The analyst asked how big the new Target distribution win is versus prior distribution and how consolidation in the industry creates more opportunity for Edible Garden. He also asked whether the Tetra Pak facility timeline is still on track and what is needed to stay on schedule.
A: Management said the Target expansion is significant and reflects a long-standing relationship and strong execution, which helped them pick up business as other suppliers faced instability. They said industry consolidation has opened opportunities because Edible Garden focused on customer relationships, supply reliability, and execution. On Tetra Pak, they said the build is on track, they expect the first bottle at the tail end of 2027, they have presold commitments for 100% of the facility, and they will start with a co-manufacturer at the end of Q4 this year to move product sooner.
"We've had a long-standing relationship with Target, and we've made quite a bit of investment in -- just in the relationship and being able to be positioned for this type of opportunity." — James Kras (CEO)
Prairie Hills customer interest; revenue and costs
Q (Blackridge Capital): The analyst asked how much interest potential customers are showing in Prairie Hills and how discussions are progressing. He also asked which opportunities will drive continued revenue growth, better profitability, and operating leverage.
A: Management said interest has been phenomenal, with retailers asking them to convert herbs into beverages and to help with milk- and whey-based products; they added they have commitments on pretty much the whole factory. They said private label demand is underserved because of limited capacity, and Prairie Hills will help fill that gap and give some pricing power. On profitability and leverage, they said many costs should stay relatively static as they put more volume into their existing 2 greenhouses, they are streamlining SG&A, improving procurement, and making targeted staffing investments for the Tetra Pak facility.
