Analyst Q&A 1
where customer budgets come from
Q (Ben Bohlen · Cleveland): Where will customer budgets come from for new demand like Mythos and last day of support, and how is Cisco capturing that opportunity? Also, what are lead times for non Silicon One versus Silicon One, and how does direct communication with TSMC affect lead times?
A: Customers feel they "do not have a choice" and will move dollars internally to IT to fund needed equipment. Cisco has "8 thousand or 9 thousand customers running Cisco IQ" who are assessing what is patchable; management said they have not yet seen material Mythos or last day of support in their numbers but the pipeline is building. On lead times, they said they are not seeing significant lead time issues, noted some tightness in parts of the supply chain but no customer escalations, and that they are "not waiting on any sort of allocation" from merchant silicon because they are dealing directly with TSMC, with G2 and Chuck directly engaged and a trip planned.
"I think that, you know, the biggest thing is we are we are not waiting on any sort of allocation." — Mark Patterson (CFO)
