Analyst Q&A 1
free cash flow, pulled-forward CapEx, dividend
Q (Andrew J. Wittmann · Baird): He asked why full-year free cash flow guidance is low and whether the pulled-forward fleet CapEx is growth or maintenance. He also asked expected replacement CapEx for 2027, whether the new dividend affects the Nuveen preferred conversion, timing to reach a 3.0 leverage target, and why U.K. margins were down.
A: They said the pulled-forward 2027 CapEx is mostly replacement and will be reversed in next year's free cash flow update. Using the EBITDA midpoint of $105 million or $106 million, they said the gap to $50 million is about $32 million of interest and about $23 million of replacement CapEx; Q4 replacement is small at about 5% of revenue (probably $2 million or $3 million) and next year's replacement, excluding the pull forward, should be low single digits. They said the dividend does not change anything on the Nuveen preferred, they think they can reduce leverage by at least a half a turn in 12 months and a reasonable expectation is around 18 months, and the U.K. margin weakness was not acquisition-related but from a slight loss of labor efficiency due to demand headwinds with volumes picking up in July.
"The difference between that and the $50 million is approximately $32 million of interest and about $23 million of replacement CapEx." — Iain Humphries (CFO)
