Analyst Q&A 4
Core DH deployment targets and timing
Q (Jeffrey Campbell · Seaport Research Partners): Where will the initial Core DH systems be installed geographically and what types of businesses do you target? Also, are both product models in the manufacturing cost and design optimization on the same timeline, and when will you present designs to contract manufacturers? Lastly, for the Kubota development, will water systems be centralized or per home?
A: They are deploying Core DH to strategic customers for industrial dehumidification in spaces that need to be kept dry. Both DFM and cost-simplification work are on track for Prime and Core, with Prime on schedule for 2027 contract manufacturing and Core also on track for 2027 while they push to accelerate. Kubota is planning multi-home residential communities with a centralized water generation and recycling system for the community.
"And as we said, we are deploying Core DH systems to strategic customers for industrial dehumidification." — Bryan Barton
Path to 2,000 liters and JV cash
Q (Alex Fuhrman · Lucid): How has Prime performed recently and what changes will get it to 2,000 liters per day? Also, how much capital will you commit to the JV this year and next given accelerated commercialization?
A: They commissioned the system in May and it has been running outdoors 24/7 with high uptime; performance varies with humidity and they are on track to hit up to 2,000 liters per day with specific measures identified to close the gap. They said they haven't provided 2027 guidance, noted guidance for this year around $27 million, $28 million, and that the incremental capital above the $25 million is geared towards the JV; they expect next year to trend similarly and are evaluating contract manufacturers to reduce incremental CapEx.
"The incremental capital above the $25 million is geared towards the JV." — Sze-Yin Pang (CFO)
Kubota partnership and data center showcase
Q (Ryan Pfingst · B. Riley): Is the Kubota partnership limited to residential, or are you exploring other verticals? And what do you expect from the Net Zero Innovation Hub in Europe for data center opportunities?
A: The partnership with Kubota is focused on residential multi-home communities. The Net Zero Innovation Hub is a chance to showcase Prime integrated for data center waste heat operation with major industry members; they expect that success there will carry into commercial opportunities and help demonstrate long-term water solutions so data centers can avoid depleting aquifers.
"I think this is a really great opportunity for us to highlight our product and how it's integrated for data center waste heat operation." — Bryan Barton
Carrier, incentives, and the two deployments
Q (Amit Dayal · H.C. Wainwright): Did Carrier invest and how does that relationship affect commercialization? Are there regulatory incentives that could support these offerings? And are the two deployed units for performance benchmarking or for showcasing to developers?
A: Carrier is engaged around HVAC and data center initiatives; they see Carrier as a strategic partner for HVAC and for providing heat recovery systems to pair with AirJoule at data centers. The company is exploring regulatory incentives and is actively communicating with Congress and regulators to raise awareness. The two deployed units are intended to showcase the technology to developers, focused on Irvine, California and Corpus Christi, Texas.
"Yes, Amit, it's really the latter, showcasing the technology development -- sorry, the technology opportunity to the developers and how we can actually unlock residential communities." — Bryan Barton
